Welcome to the Porsche Club Motorsport website

The last season is almost upon us and on this site you will find details of the 2008 Porsche Club Motorsport and Track Day programme. You can also find Galleries of photos of previous seasons.

In 2008 the Porsche Club is organising three Motorsport series and 25 Track Days. The Motorsport will consist of two circuit race series, the Porsche Club Championship held over 9 rounds and Porsche Open, held over 8 rounds. The two series will appear at the same meetings together, with the exception of Castle Combe in August, which will be for the Porsche Club Championship only. Seven of the Club Championship rounds will be ‘Double Headers’ (two races for each series on the weekend), while Porsche Open will also include 2 x 1-Hr races.

During this year the competitors will get a chance to compete on the Grand Prix circuits at Brands Hatch (A1GP meeting), Silverstone (Historic – Silverstone Classic meeting and ‘Full’ GP – Britcar 24Hr race meeting) plus the fabulous Spa Francorchamps.

In addition, the ever popular Porsche Club Speed Championship will be held over 12 Rounds. Combining both Hillclimb and Sprint disciplines, the Club’s Speed Championship is the ideal place for those wanting to put a ‘toe in the water’ of Motorsport in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This year’s championship already boasts a number of competitors trying their hand at Speed events for the first time.

On the site you can also find details of the series structure, eligible models, competing drivers and cars and championship points and positions. You can also download series regulations, registration forms and race entry forms.

Finally, a listing of the Club’s Track Days can be found, including a booking form. Our Track Days are totally ‘non-competitive’ and are an ideal opportunity for Club members to drive their car in a safe environment and benefit from instruction if desired. As well as the booking form, you can download the Guidance Notes, which will give advice on the basics that will help you prepare for Porsche Club Track Days. We are now able to take payment by card if required.

We have also provided links to various specialists and companies who can help you prepare your car for Track Days or Motorsport activities, plus brief advice on how to get started in Motorsport. This is equally appropriate to anybody who wants to get into competitive driving of any sort and who knows, you may find you get bitten by the bug after a few Track Days !!

We are looking forward to a great year of Porsche Club Motorsport. If you have any questions which are not answered on the site, please e-mail your questions to: motorsport@porscheclubgb.com.
